Dr. Lucía Moro

Lucia Moro obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes in 2009. She completed her PhD. at the Laboratory of Animal Biotechnology at the Agronomy Faculty of the University of Buenos Aires, under the direction of Dr. Daniel Salamone. During her PhD. she specialized in reproductive biotechnologies in mammals, including somatic cell nuclear transfer, in vitro fertilization and ICSI. In 2015 she began her post-doctorate at LIAN-FLENI-CONICET under the direction of Dr. Santiago Miriuka, where she worked with pluripotent stem cells and cell reprogramming in human and equine. In 2018, Lucia started the CONICET research career in the same laboratory, where she is currently working on the modeling of genetic diseases, using gene-editing techniques (CRISPR / Cas9) and cell differentiation of pluripotent stem cells to different lineages.
